In the latest installment of Meet the Team, Anouk has recently joined GCP Central. We caught up with her and discovered what she’s bringing to the team.
Where are you from?
I am from Veendam, a small town in the north of Holland (Groningen).
What’s your background?
I studied International Hospitality Management and worked abroad for almost 5 years after my graduation. First, I lived in Bangkok, where I learned about Spa & Health Management, then Barcelona where I worked as a training coordinator for Hilton and Ritz Carlton, followed by a period in India where I worked for a wellness retreat as a project coordinator. I traveled around in Asia and mainly followed my heart and explored the world.
Coming back to Amsterdam felt natural and I started working as a Sales Coordinator for a travel agency about 3 years ago, called TravelBird.
Why did you decide to join the GCP Central team?
I read about GCP Central and related immediately with the innovative approach to learning and training. Being in the office I instantly felt a great connection with both Susan and Marieke. Real and authentic connections, conversations and relationships are very important.
I was looking for a company that could offer me a challenge and a long-term perspective where I was able to use my strengths and step out of my comfort zone in a supportive way. I knew I could learn a lot from the team and the industry.
What do you hope to achieve in your new role?
I’m here to help and teach our customers what we can offer them. I aim to support Marieke and our clients on their journey into clinical research training by making it empowering, fun, innovative and continuously up to date. It is the basics of doing clinical research, why don’t we make it as interesting and useful as possible?
I want to make sure we offer the best training possible and will gather as much feedback from clients as I can. How can we help them better in their journey towards clinical research?
Tell us a fun fact about yourself?
I got my Yoga Teacher Training diploma and will be doing a course in Ayurveda. I’m a person that enjoys balance, yoga, meditation, and good food, but I also like to dance at music festivals like AfrikaBurn and Burning Man. I still enjoy exploring the world and cannot think of a place I do not want to visit.
